HSHPS Graduate Fellowship Training Program – Philadelphia, PA

  • The Community Health at Drexel University, School of Public Health; Philadelphia, PA   is now a PAID fellowship opportunity
  • Projects and locations are AVAILABLE are for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) programs.
  • There are TWO different VA Programs:
    • VA – Health (projects that focus on health or placement site is looking for a health degree student)
    • VA – Admin (projects not related to health)
  • Only ONE letter of recommendation is needed
  • NEW Eligibility Requirement:     
    • Must be a current degree seeking student at an accredited institution or recent graduate (within 12 months) of a degree program at the start of the program (VA Programs Only)
    • Must be a current degree seeking master’s or doctoral student* at an accredited institution or recent graduate (within 3 years) of a degree program at the start of the program (Non-VA Programs Only)
    • U.S. citizen or permanent resident (no visas or work permits)
    • Individuals with five or more years of professional experience are not eligible to apply
    • English working proficiency (written and oral)
    • Available for the entire duration of the program
    • Candidates interested in minority health research (Non-VA Programs Only)
    • Individuals with at least 6 months of work/ volunteer experience working on minority health issues (Non-VA Programs Only)
*We highly encourage 4th year undergraduates to apply

The HSHPS Graduate Fellowship Training Program provides PAID and UNPAID training opportunities for graduate and doctoral students and recent graduates interested in working on Hispanic health research. We highly encourage undergraduate students as well as business, public administration, policy and communications degree students to apply.
