The University of Alabama in Huntsville is accepting applications for the regular full-time position of Counselor to work in the Counseling Center.  The Counselor will be responsible for providing mental health and support services for students’ psychological, social, emotional needs, and academic adjustment to the University; to enhance the growth and development of students.


Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or Social Work from an accredited program, 1-3 years of full-time related work experience, must be licensed in the incumbent’s field to provide counseling services (applicants licensed in other states are encouraged to review relevant codes and requirements for licensure in Alabama), must be experienced in providing culturally competent services to diverse clients.  Previous experience in a college or university counseling center is strongly preferred.


The approximate salary is $37,000 – $40,000 with an excellent benefits package.
