CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST FACULTY POSITION IN ADDICTIONS

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience at The University of Chicago is seeking an academically-oriented Clinical Psychologist with expertise in the evidence-based assessment and treatment of chemical and behavioral addictive disorders for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will include clinical management of patients with substance use and impulse control disorders, including addressing health consequences of addictive behaviors, clinical training and supervision of psychology, psychiatry, and medical student trainees, and collaborative research in a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited university-based doctoral program and have completed an internship at an APA-accredited site. Training and experience in cognitive-behavioral, motivational, and twelve-step approaches, postdoctoral training in multimodal addictions treatment preferred. Candidates with a track record of research and publications in peer-reviewed journals are preferred. Candidates are required to have licensure in IL at the time of hire.
