CE Opportunity: Transportation Disasters

CE Opportunity: Transportation Disasters

SVPA would like to invite you to a unique CE opportunity:

Transportation Disasters

A continuing education event presented by a CSPP Alum:
Rob Woodman, Ph.D., MSCP

Course Description:

This course will familiarize students with the organization of how transportation disasters are responded to and the skills needed to respond.

Because transportation companies, airlines, railroad companies, bus companies, and the National Transportation Safety Board as well as the FAA are involved, transportation disasters are responded to with very different lines of responsibility than any other kind of disaster in which the Red Cross takes the lead. Furthermore, long delays of news about family members and friends is likely creating a large group of people who are distressed but not immediately involved with the disaster. Transportation disasters often require a different skill set from other disasters.
