Behavioral Health Clinician: full-time (1.0 FTE)

Behavioral Health Clinician:
Gardner’s Integrated Behavioral Health program is a pilot program funded by Santa Clara County MHSA funds that launched in May of 2012 utilizing the IMPACT model to treat patients 16 and over in the primary care setting within a multidisciplinary team including Primary Care Physician, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Psychiatrist, and Peer Partner. We are now expanding to serve children at our Gardner-Packard site (Gardner Packard Children’s Health Center, Stanford’s residency pediatric clinic). The primary tasks of this position include providing mental health assessments and treatment to patients aged 0-17 and their families. Additional duties include consulting with IBH providers to discuss patient care, referring patients to other mental health services or community resources, and maintaining electronic health records for patients. This position starts as soon as early February, and will be an exempt position with full benefits.
We welcome candidates who are:
Knowledgeable of short-term, evidenced based models such as CBT, PST, TF-CBT and comfortable with the fast pace, frequent schedule changes, and interruptions of primary care setting, working as part of an interdisciplinary team, and able to work through brief client contacts, as well as make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions. Experience working in health care setting preferred, as well as community resources for Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Must possess strong organizational skills, be flexible, and team oriented. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required as well as basic computer skills to perform documentation and billing functions.
Qualifications: Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree and must possess a valid CA state license to practice Clinical Psychology and/or Social Work. Licenses permitted to bill Medi-Cal in FQHC setting include LCSW and Licensed Psychologist only. Bilingual English/Spanish is required. Salary range is $75-80K (DOE).
