Associate/Full Professor and Department Chair Position

The Department of Counseling, School, and Educational Psychology at the University at Buffalo, SUNY is in a unique position to search for a department chair who can contribute to the UB2020 strategic theme in health/wellness and maximize departmental strengths and concentrations.

Applicants should have expertise and a proven research record related to health and wellness prevention/interventions. Eligibility for NYS licensure as a psychologist and interest in interdisciplinary collaborative research (e.g. biopsychosocial features of health-related disorders, neuropsychology, pediatrics, translational studies) are desirable.

The department offers doctoral training in Counseling Psychology/School Psychology (APA accredited), Counselor Education, and Educational Psychology. Masters programs include Mental Health Counseling (M.S.), Rehabilitation Counseling (M.S.), School Counseling (Ed.M.), and School Psychology (M.A./AC; NASP approved). The department has a strong commitment to ethical practice, multicultural competence, and awareness of self and others to meet the challenges of working in complex urban settings.
