Assistant Professor – Yale Department of Psychiatry
The Yale Department of Psychiatry seeks a clinical psychologist for an Assistant Professor position based at the Connecticut Mental Health Center. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and have completed an APA accredited internship program. Postdoctoral research training is strongly preferred as well. Within the context of a comprehensive community mental health center that serves as the local mental health authority for the broader New Haven community, this individual will be expected to provide oversight of peer support and volunteer programs while contributing actively to the training and supervision of pre- and postdoctoral psychology trainees. With a secondary placement at the Program for Recovery and Community Health, this individual will also be expected to provide training and consultation on recovery-oriented and person-centered care and participate in research and evaluation projects conducted in collaboration with the State of Connecticut’s Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Finally, this individual will be expected to participate in relevant departmental committees and in state, disciplinary, and national workgroups related to these topics. Candidates should have an active publication record and be able to demonstrate extensive experience with both the provision of recovery-oriented care and the practice of peer support.
