The MBA concentration in Entrepreneurship focuses on the strategic issues faced by entrepreneurs starting new ventures in established industries or in industries that are being created or transformed by new emerging technologies. These issues include the starting, financing, growing, and managing of a new venture–both for-profit or non-profit.
The concentration courses will cover topics in cutting edge business models, technology development, intellectual property issues, financing options, cultural and human resource development and alliances. This entrepreneurial process will be studied within an international multicultural context. Students will also be equipped with the skills required to prepare a business plan and get their business started with a clear understanding of how to analyze a new venture opportunity, the resources needed, and the costs and challenges involved.
