Bachelor's of Science - Business Administration

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration prepares students for a wide variety of careers and for advanced study. The curriculum provides a solid foundation of fundamental business principles with courses that emphasize an understanding of business, management, information systems and the overall dynamics of organizations; critical thinking skills as well as interpersonal, oral, written, quantitative and computer skills. Like all the programs in Alliant’s School of Management, the BS in Business Administration places a strong emphasis on practical application of knowledge. You will have the opportunity to gain extensive hands-on experience by doing an internship in the industry, thereby remaining current with the latest developments in your field.

You will also have the opportunity to complete our San Diego MBA program by taking as few as 8 courses, instead of the standard 16 course (48 unit) requirement.  If you have a GPA of 3.5 or above, you are awarded a $2,000 Direct Path MBA scholarship as well.  See here for details.

Curriculum (120 units)

The degree consists of 120 units, of which 60 units are lower division general education courses after which students declare their undergraduate majors. The upper division courses include 48 units of core business and management courses, electives, capstone class and internship - as well as 12 units of concentration courses.

Also in keeping with Alliant School of Management standards, the curriculum is designed to be responsive to the new needs of the global marketplace. You will learn about a broad range of situations in business and management in preparation for a career in international and multicultural environments. Alliant School of Management also offers a wide variety of exciting study abroad opportunities for students to further enrich their academic journey at Alliant. 


The MBA Direct Path program at the San Diego campus welcomes students with proven leadership potential and academic excellence - directly after completing their bachelors degree. If qualified for the program during your senior year, we will designate an academic advisor, with whom you will work closely to map out your study plan. 
MBA Foundation classes are waived, and bridge classes are available for you to take in your senior year, reducing the course requirement when you start the MBA to just 8 classes (24 units), and allowing you to finish the MBA in just 2 semesters as a full-time student.
