Bachelor's of Science - Business Administration
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration prepares students for a wide variety
of careers and for advanced study. The curriculum provides a solid foundation of fundamental
business principles with courses that emphasize an understanding of business, management,
information systems and the overall dynamics of organizations; critical thinking skills
as well as interpersonal, oral, written, quantitative and computer skills. Like all
the programs in Alliant’s School of Management, the BS in Business Administration
places a strong emphasis on practical application of knowledge. You will have the opportunity
to gain extensive hands-on experience by doing an internship in the industry, thereby
remaining current with the latest developments in your field.
You will also have the opportunity to complete our San Diego MBA program by taking as few as 8 courses, instead of the standard 16 course (48 unit) requirement. If you have a GPA of 3.5 or above, you are awarded a $2,000 Direct Path MBA scholarship as well. See here for details.
Curriculum (120 units)
The degree consists of 120 units, of which 60 units are lower division general education courses after which students declare their undergraduate majors. The upper division courses include 48 units of core business and management courses, electives, capstone class and internship - as well as 12 units of concentration courses. MBA Direct Path Program - For Our Bachelors Students
The MBA Direct Path program at the San Diego campus welcomes students with proven leadership potential
and academic excellence - directly after completing their bachelors degree. If qualified
for the program during your senior year, we will designate an academic advisor, with
whom you will work closely to map out your study plan.
MBA Foundation classes are waived, and bridge classes are available for you to take in your senior year, reducing the course requirement when you start the MBA to just 8 classes (24 units), and allowing you to finish the MBA in just 2 semesters as a full-time student.

*The $24,000 tuition scholarship is for the entire program offered as $3,000 per semester. There is also an undergraduate tuition scholarship offered by Alliant. A student can select one of these two scholarship programs. A student will only get either the Alliant tuition scholarship or the School of Management tuition scholarship and can choose which one they would like. They are not offered as a combined scholarship.
