| Representatives of the Rockway Institute convened in San Diego on April 12 to bring Rockway's mission to local philanthropists. The event, held at the University Club in San Diego, was a huge success. Rockway Institute Executive Director Dr. Robert-Jay Green addressed an audience of more then 65, including many philanthropists from San Diego’s LGBT community. During the fundraising event, Co-hosted by Arthur Collingsworth, Oliva Espin, and Esther Rothblum, took part in a question and answer period before enjoying food, wine and a chance to mingle with the crowd. The Rockway Institute relies on private donations and grants to support its mission. Since its inception, it has enjoyed support from the Alliant community and beyond, already creating a large presence in the field of LGBT research. The Rockway Institute will host a follow-up presentation at San Diego’s LGBT Center on May 29th.
