After 34 years at Alliant’s California School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Ronald Gandolfo will retire, capping his service with an address to graduates at the Fresno commencement ceremonies.

Dr. Gandolfo is a cornerstone of CSPP-Fresno, having been there since its inception. He was so devoted to the cause that he served for one year without pay to help the campus get started. His support of the campus never wavered and he has remained chair of the campus ethics committee for 34 years.

During his CSPP professorship Dr. Gandolfo has chaired 66 completed dissertations and served as member for 30, and taught Child Custody Evaluation, Intellectual Assessment and Supervision Seminar.

Dr. Gandolfo’s contributions to the Alliant-Fresno community are matched only by his contributions to the Central Valley itself. He remains one of the region’s most sought out forensic psychologist, where he is known for his impartiality and objectivity, and founded the Children's Services at Fresno County Mental Health Department. He is one of the six founders of the San Joaquin Psychological association, served as its president and in 1998 was named distinguished psychologist of the year.

He was an oral examiner for the California Board of Psychology and is a qualified medical examiner for the state of California.

He is a diplomat of the American Board of Professional Psychology, a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Psychology, and contributed to “Comprehensive Book of Ethics & Law in the Practice of Mental Health.”

Dr. Gandolfo specializes in child custody evaluation, workers’ compensation: evaluation and treatment, and general clinical psychology assessment and treatment. He maintains a successful private practice.
