Alliant Forensic Students Make their Mark at the American Psychology Law Society Annual Conference

 
 

San Diego & San Francisco, March 27, 2007  — The American-Psychology Law Society Annual Conference in Adelaide, Australia has accepted seven papers from Alliant International University students, all having originated from doctoral dissertations.
 
Co-authors and Professors Dr. Jana Price-Sharps and Dr. Sherry Skidmore made important contributions in the success of the dissertations. Both Drs. Price-Sharps and Skidmore are faculty members at Alliant’s School of  Forensic Studies in Fresno and Los Angeles, respectively.
 
Dr. Robert Leark, Associate Professor & Forensic Psychology Program Coordinator for the Center for Undergraduate Education in Los Angeles, will chair a symposium that is comprised of Alliant students Oscar Githua, Hilary Trytten, Jennifer Kadin-Hoestra, Shiloh Cantanese and Avetis Topchyan.

Students Lisa Sandoval and Sean Mintz will present posters on their research at the conference.

Dr. Leark, who specializes in death penalty cases and neuropsychology and is a graduate of United States International University (USIU), one of the heritage institutions that combined to form Alliant International University, has been a conference program reviewer for the American-Psychology Law Society since 2005.

The conference will take place July 3-8, 2007.
