| The Society for Clinical Psychology, Division 12, the Division of Health Psychology, Division 38, and the Division of Addictions, Division 50, all divisions within the American Psychological Association have granted Dr. Eduardo Morales the distinguished honor of being Fellow. Dr. Morales, a professor in the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University, will be officially recognized as Fellow of these Divisions at the APA convention in San Francisco in August, 2007. Fellow status is an honor bestowed upon APA Members who have shown evidence of unusual and outstanding contributions or performance in the field of psychology. Election to Fellow status requires evidence of unusual and outstanding contributions or performance in the field of psychology. Fellow status requires that a person's work has had a national impact on the field of psychology beyond a local, state, or regional level. A high level of competence or steady and continuing contributions are not sufficient to warrant Fellow status. National impact must be demonstrated. Among the 4,720 APA Fellows, only 65 or 1.4% are Fellows of 7 or more Divisions of APA. Dr. Morales now falls in that elite 1.4%. Dr. Morales has received numerous awards for his contributions that include: - a Citation in 2005 for Outstanding Service and Visionary Leadership from the Society for the Psychological Study of Ethnic Minority Issues (Division 45) of the American Psychological Association (APA),
- the 2002 Distinguished Career Contributions to Service Award from Division 45 of the APA,
- the 1994 Outstanding Achievement Award given by the Committee of Lesbian and Gay Concerns of the APA
- and the Distinguished Contribution Award (1991) in Ethnic Minority Issues, Society for the Psychological Study of Lesbian and Gay Issues (Division 44) of the APA.
In the past, Dr. Morales was granted Fellow status in four other APA Divisions. They are: - Division 9 - Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues,
- Division 44 - Society for the Psychological Study of Gay, Lesbians, and Bisexual Issues,
