Alliant to Offer Study in London to Undergraduates
Agreement with Regents School of Business Envisions Student & Faculty Exchange in Business and International Relations San Francisco, Oct. 10, 2005 –Undergraduates at Alliant International University will soon have the. opportunity to study on the Imperial Wharf Campus of the Regents School of Business in London, thanks to an agreement signed today by the two universities. Regents’ students will also gain access to Alliant’s San Diego and Mexico City campuses starting in the spring of 2006. Other Alliant campuses in California will be phased in to the exchange agreement in coming years.
Exchanges between the two schools will begin with students in the areas of Business Administration, International Business Administration, Management and International Relations. Alliant International the and Regents School of Business are also working on details for exchange of faculty members.
Currently, Alliant offers a full, four-year undergraduate program on its Mexico City Campus and an undergraduate degree completion program on its Scripps Ranch Campus in San Diego. The San Diego campus accepts students who have completed the first two undergraduate years of study. Alliant plans to extend this degree completion program, and the London exchange program, to its San Francisco, Los Angeles and Fresno campuses within the next couple years.
To be eligible for the Alliant/Regents international exchange program, students must have a “good academic reason for studying abroad,” hold a grade point average of at least 3.0 and be proficient in English. Exchange students will take a full academic load during their semester abroad and will be enrolled as non-degree students at the host university while earning credit toward a degree at their home university, either Alliant International University or the Regents School of Business.
The agreement between the two universities was developed to “enhance the education experiences and the cultural understanding of the involved students and faculty.” This is the fourth cooperation agreement Alliant has signed this year with another institution of higher learning.
