Alliant's Graduate School of Education to offer TESOL Master’s Online Study Program to Students at Universitas Islam Negeri in Jakarta
 | | | San Francisco - November 10, 2006– Alliant International University’s Graduate School of Education (GSOE) has signed an agreement to offer the TESOL Master’s Online Study Program to students at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
 Alliant faculty members, Dr. Mary Ellen Butler-Pascoe, Director of TESOL and Language Education and Shirley Ann Baker, Director of the International Language Education Center, were on hand September 26, 2006 as UIN Rector Azyumardi Azra, MA, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the Wisma Syahida Guest House.
Both UIN Jakarta and Alliant’s Graduate School of Education will facilitate all exchanges and cooperative initiatives in the areas of instruction, research and grants, exchanges, program marketing and development and community services.
These initiatives include the opportunity for UIN students to attend GSOE’s TESOL Masters' and certificate programs for one semester, online or as a combination of Alliant and UIN on-site courses and online delivery of instruction.
To receive a TESOL Graduate Certificate, students can take seven of the ten courses online with a three-course residency at Alliant’s campuses in San Diego, Irvine or Fresno.
Both Dr. Pascoe and Ms. Baker are working to link Alliant’s online blackboard to UIN Jakarta. For More Information
