Dr. Russell has been a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Human Sexuality Studies at San Francisco State University; Director of the National Sexuality Resource Center Summer Institute on Sexuality, Inequality and Health; recipient of an American Psychological Foundation Wayne F. Placek Award and a William T. Grant Foundation Scholar Award; is Associate Editor of the Journal of Research on Adolescence, and on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Gay and Lesbian Youth and Sexuality Research and Social Policy.
