In the 40 years that she has been a psychotherapist, Dr. Anderson has developed a practice specializing in working with individuals, couples and families struggling with issues of sexual and gender diversity.
For eight years Dr. Anderson was employed by the City of San Francisco as Coordinator of a program serving the mental health needs of the transgender community. She has been a guest of Michael Krasny on KQED's radio program, "Forum" and has been interviewed by SELF, Ladies' Home Journal, Redbook and New Woman. She was featured in a video, "'Changing Sexes" dealing with the transgender experience and was invited to contribute chapters to three texts on the subject of transgenderism.
