Students & Student Life

The 700-plus students at Alliant's San Francisco Campus are enrolled in graduate programs in psychology, educational psychology, organizational development, and education. The psychology and organizational studies students attend classes primarily during the day; most education students are enrolled in evening classes.

Students come to study at the San Francisco campus from all over the United States as well as many other countries. This gives the student body considerable diversity.

The active Student Government Association (SGA) of the San Francisco campus sponsors a diversity festival that brings students together to celebrate their varied backgrounds. During the 2004-5 academic year, the festival included Bollywood films, salsa music, students dressed in native costume and food that ranged from Native American fry bread to Madras curry, Chinese kung pao chicken and African American bean pie.

The San Francisco Student Government Association, which has also arranged for discounts from a number of local merchants, sponsors multiple lunches and social gatherings during the year.

San Francisco Campus students live in San Francisco and in communities along the east side of San Francisco Bay. Many share apartments and/or commute together. The campus is a commuter facility and does not have associated housing.
