How to Format in APA Style
Links to Helpful Websites:

There are two free video tutorials entitled “The Basics of APA Style” and “What’s New in the Sixth Edition” that you might find helpful on the APA Style site.  You will need Adobe Flash installed on your computer in order to view the tutorials.  You can install it for free by going to: (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/).

A Note on Reference Point APA Formatting Software (in the San Diego campus computer labs): Changes in APA formatting rules made it necessary to update the APA formatting software previously installed in the Academic Support Center (building M-8) and on the computers in Daley Hall 307, 308, 312, and 317 on the San Diego campus. That process is now complete. There are now more than 80 computers on campus that have APA formatting software installed that is compatible with the sixth edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. The software, known as “Reference Point,” is accessible through Microsoft Word. (Click on the instructions link for information about how to access the software.) The computers in M-8 and Daley Hall which are on the new SDLAB terminal server system are equipped with the software.
