The Writing Center, located in building M-8, provides an array of academic support services and resources for graduate and undergraduate students to foster higher quality writing. The Writing Center was established to provide a central location for students to read, research, and study, and to engage in all phases of the writing process, whether for individual course assignments or group projects. |
|
The center has designated learning spaces to address students’ needs, including: a technology lab, tutoring rooms, a reading lounge, and areas specifically reserved for quiet or group study. The Writing Center welcomes students of all backgrounds, interests, and levels to join our learning community and to share our commitment to academic excellence. Schedules for individual tutors are posted a week in advance in the entrance to M-8. Students may sign up for 50 minute appointments on the posted schedule or call 858-635-4439 to schedule an appointment. Because of high demand, availability of tutors for walk-in service is unlikely, so it is best to plan ahead and schedule an appointment several days in advance.
Tutoring hours vary each semester. Check the posted schedule in M-8 to determine the hours that tutors are available.
