Practically all graduate students are stunned by the level of difficulty they experience in their first graduate quantitative research class, also known as advanced statistics (insert scary music here). But, most make it through just fine and go on to lead happy lives.
Our experienced Academic Support Center math tutors work with students who need assistance in Alliant math courses, especially statistics. This is not solely for those students that feel that they are struggling, but for every student! We encouraged all students to join our regular tutoring sessions. The more the merrier. In this informal learning session, students learn from students. It is a wonderful thing, oh yeah!
A solid understanding of the mechanics of statistics is tantamount to education. Most of the ideas and concepts that are taught are based on proof, which is where statistics comes in.
