Library & Academic Resources
The Mexico City Library contains about 7,000 books, most of which are in English, and a dozen journal subscriptions. A computer is available to access the Internet. Library staff provide reference assistance and interlibrary loan services for students and faculty. In addition to its own library of materials in English, Alliant MXC has an extensive inter-library loan system linking it with all of the top universities in Mexico City as well as with the US Embassy's Benjamin Franklin Library. The Mexico City Campus Library is also linked to the Alliant library system. A computer lab is available for computer-related classes, and the library has a few computers with internet access for student use. Students also enjoy the convenience of nearby internet cafes. Classrooms The classrooms at Alliant Mexico allow professors and students to interact within small class sizes. All classrooms are small with floor-to-ceiling doors that open onto balconies.
Alliant Mexico City also manages a Language Center which provides classes in Spanish. In addition, the University organizes a variety of non-academic cultural activities, academic tours, and educational workshops and seminars. Academic Tours & Seminars Alliant Mexico City Campus's Academic Tours are really classes-on-the-road in which participants have a chance to gain in-depth knowledge, first-hand experience and to participate in stimulating discussions with Mexican students, international scholars and fellow learners. Academic Tours are organized around specific topics and include lectures, reading materials and visits to relevant sites. Academic Tours can be taken for university credit or as learning vacations, and are geared toward students and professionals of all ages who share an interest in such issues as history, culture, business, and international relations.
