GSPIA & Consortium Governance

GSPIA Administration: The administration consists of the Internship Director, support staff, and the Executive Board of Representatives consisting of all site directors. This team will be responsible to process all Member Agency applications, develop and submit the APPIC/APA application, develop and update the intern policy and procedures training manual, coordinate and monitor the internship site visits. The Executive Board will coordinate the in-service training, the didactic program with the consortiums and member agencies, hold quarterly meetings with the consortium member agencies; coordinate and develop contracts and grants; assist in coordinating and developing workshop certificate programs and process potential intern applications directing them to the appropriate member agencies.

Executive Board of Representatives: The Executive Board of Representatives consist of member agency directors from each consortium who will meet quarterly, the first Friday of every February, May, August and November. The Executive Board of Representatives will be responsible for consortium policy, procedures, and regulations.

Consortia: The Internship Director and the member agency directors will meet quarterly within their region to review and recommend policy; review applications; coordinate in-service; select and develop contracts and grants; and coordinate certificate workshops to generate revenue to subsidize the cost of the consortium. Northern California Psychology Internship Consortium (NCPIC) will meet the third Wednesday of January, April, July and October. Central California Psychology Internship Consortium (CCPIC) will meet the third Wednesday of February, May, August and November. Mid Coast Psychology Internship Consortium (MCPIC) will meet the third Thursday of March, June, September and December. Southern California Psychology Internship Consortium (SCPIC) [formerly known as Kern County Psychology Internship Consortium (KCPIC)] will meet on the third Friday of each month.

Member Agency: Each Member Agency and their interns are required to participate in the in-service weekly training program and will sponsor one certificate workshop per year. When appropriate the Member Agencies are encouraged (but not required) to participate in the development of contracts and grants in coordination with the GSPIA.
