Looking for Alumni Board Members Whether you are a recent graduate looking to build upon connections you have made as a student, a seasoned alumnus seeking old friends or new professional colleagues, or someone who wants to give back by finding new ways to continue your relationship with the University, you will find that volunteering opens windows of opportunity. Alliant offers several alumni volunteer options. Admissions: Helping us Recruit New Students
You can assist our admissions office in identifying potential students for our masters, doctoral and continuing education programs. This can be done by working with your company to distribute information about our programs, networking within any professional organizations of which you are a member, or speaking about partnership opportunities to foundations and corporations that you know. Outreach: Finding Lost Alumni
Over the years, we have lost contact with some of our graduates. We are looking for alumni to serve as class and school agents to help us reconnect to the “lost” alumni. It is important for us to keep in touch with all alumni for several reasons: First, as we are launching our online community, it will become a valuable resource for all, so we want to make sure that it is utilized to its fullest extent. In addition, many of the educational accrediting agencies for higher education institutions (such as the American Psychological Association) need data about our alumni and where they are employed. If you volunteer to serve as a class or school agent, we will ask you to call and email your classmates to obtain their current contact information. Hosting Alumni Events
Because we want to esnure that all our alumni chapters remain active, we are always looking for alumni who are willing to host gatherings or events. These events can be social receptions, talks by current Alliant faculty, visits by administrators, honoring current student achievements -- or any other type of event that your chapter would like to have.
