Graduate Student Orientation
Student Orientation is an opportunity for new students to become acquainted with the University, the campus, and student services. You will find out how you can get involved on campus, meet new people, and much more. Orientation can include these topics:
- Financial aid information sessions
- Information Technology workshop (touring the computer labs, accessing email)
- Student Services info
- Health Services forms and instructions
- Campus tours
- Q&A sessions with current students
- Intro to the Library system
- Special programs for international students
Our orientation team is a diverse group of current Alliant students. They are trained to meet the needs of new students, and they bring a helpful perspective to the job, as it was not so long ago that they themselves were new to our campus. They are here to help you not only during orientation but throughout the school year as well.
Campus Locations
Each Alliant campus hosts its own Orientation, so please also refer to the Academic Calendar for your campus to find specific dates and times. Orientation is mandatory for new undergraduate students, transfer undergraduate students, first-year graduate students, and international students.
As soon as they are published, Orientation Itineraries are posted on the "Student Life" pages of each campus:
