Welcome to Alliant International University Admissions
It is our goal to provide you with a positive and seamless admissions process. We understand that you have many questions--about how to build a financial plan and access financial aid, how to manage your family and professional life while earning your degree and you’ll want to know about career options. We can help you gather information about these important considerations so you are able to make an informed decision about investing in your education and career.
We welcome your first contact with us at the central Admissions office. Shortly thereafter, you'll be referred to the Admissions office of your preferred campus. The campus Admissions Director will oversee your application, interview, and (hopefully) your acceptance process. The Admissions Director will answer any questions you may have and introduce you to the campus community, including faculty and key staff. For a list of campus Admissions Directors, please see the ‘Admissions Staff’ page.
In general, there are several items required to complete an application. Note that each school has its own application. Please be sure to:
1. Complete the first two forms (A and B);
2. Provide official transcripts from each institution attended;
3. Include at least two letters of recommendation;
4. Write a personal essay; and
5. Include the application fee.
There may be additional requirements for application (including pre-requisite classes) depending on your choice of school and program. Remember to check the specific admissions requirements of your chosen degree. There are also requirements for international applicants-please see the ‘International Students’ page for more information.
At Alliant, all applications are received at the Admissions Processing Center based at the San Diego campus. After the application is received in San Diego, it is then sent to the applicant’s preferred campus. It is possible to send your application to a second campus should you not be offered admission at the first.
Suggested Application Submission Timeframe
Because we are always looking for academically and professionally strong students, applications are accepted on a year-round basis. Many of our programs fill early, so we suggest prospective students submit their application between November and January in order to begin matriculating in August. If you wish to begin your matriculation with us in the spring or summer sessions (note: not offered by all programs), we recommend you submit your application three to four months prior.
Once submitted, you may check the status of your application here.
We look forward to building a positive, productive relationship with you as you move through the admissions process. Welcome to Alliant!
