Recognizing that the growing economic interdependence between nations has created an acute need for international course offerings and knowing the growing worldwide demand for graduates with greater managerial capability in transnational business and economics, the Division of Business and Management of the Marshall Goldsmith School of Management has collaborated with Alliant Undergraduate Education to develop the Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration. San Diego and Mexico City Campuses US News and World Report ranked Alliant’s San Diego Campus number one among national universities in the United States in the percentage of international students enrolled. About half of the undergraduate business students are international. Getting to know classmates from all over the world and learning how business is conducted in various regions provides you with invaluable preparation for a career in international business. Instructors are from many countries and bring to the classroom a wide range of experience. Students have the option, and are strongly encouraged, to spend a semester or more at Alliant International University's Mexico City Campus. Students receiving financial aid are able to transfer their aid arrangements to cover their stay in Mexico. Hands-on experience is gained through the Alliant internship program. International students have the option to apply for a one-year practical experience in the United States after graduation. International students are then able to gain work experience in the United States before returning to their country.The International Business Administration program prepares students for advanced study and professional positions. Upon graduation students will possess a liberal and intercultural education and an understanding of business, management, information systems and technology. Students will also understand the overall dynamics of organizations; have skill in critical thinking and competence in interpersonal, oral, written, quantitative and computer skills. Accelerated Path to the MBA Seniors who have at least a 3.0 GPA may take up to three graduate-level courses as undergraduates and have those courses applied toward the completion of the Bachelor’s degree. With a grade or better in the graduate courses, the credit may be also applied toward an MBA at Marshall Goldsmith School of Management. It’s possible that students can start an MBA already having earned up to 12 units of graduate credit.
