Welcome to the California School of Professional Psychology

The California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University offers APA-accredited doctoral programs (PsyD and PhD) in Clinical Psychology at five campuses in California, COAMFTE-accredited programs (MA and PsyD) in Marital and Family Therapy at four campuses in California, a national postdoctoral master’s program in clinical psychopharmacology and international programs in Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico and Singapore.

When you enroll in a CSPP program, you join a professional family that includes over 8,000 alumni who have improved the quality of life for children, adults and families throughout California, the nation and the world. With international programs in Hong Kong, Japan and Mexico, CSPP is training mental health professionals around the world. CSPP alumni work in schools, community clinics, medical centers, courts and prisons and universities. They are therapists, educators, advocates, policy makers, supervisors, researchers, administrators and consultants, strengthening the communities in which they live and work.

Our programs integrate scholarship with professional practice. When you leave CSPP you not only know what interventions are effective with people, but you know how to implement them and how to evaluate them. We offer concentrations in cutting edge fields such as psychopharmacology, health psychology, substance abuse, child and family, forensics, gender studies and multicultural psychology as well as in the major schools of psychotherapy such as psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, family systems and child ecosystemic therapy.

The largest of the five schools and centers at Alliant, CSPP embodies Alliant’s focus as a professional practice university in a multicultural and international context. CSPP has been recognized nationally and internationally for its expertise in and commitment to preparing professionals to work effectively with diverse and multicultural populations. Faculty members are experts in their fields and strong role models for students.

CSPP students are dedicated, service-oriented and independent. Collectively, CSPP students provide over one million hours of service annually to their local communities; postdoctoral CSPP graduates provide an additional 425,000 hours of professional service in the United States in preparation for licensure. The contributions that CSPP students make to the health care of the nation are inspiring.

We invite you to explore the innovative master’s, doctoral and certificate programs offered at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University and learn how a CSPP education can help you build a fulfilling career that will make a positive difference in people’s lives.
