GSOE Library Resources
The Graduate School of Education maintains education collections in the libraries on both the San Francisco Campus and on the San Diego Scripps Ranch Campus; the libraries on these campuses have dedicated resource centers specifically devoted to education. All the Alliant libraries have “Linked Plus” that connects students with the resources of hundreds of other libraries at universities, public schools and public libraries throughout the state and nation.
The Karen Schuster Webb Resource Center in San Francisco
On February 24, 2005, Alliant International University dedicated the Karen Schuster Webb, Ph.D. Graduate School of Education Resource Center in the Rudolph Hurwich Library at the San Francisco campus. The University recognized Dean Webb for her commitment to the University and honored her as GSOE's founding Dean. Opening remarks were presented by Alliant President Dr. Geoffrey Cox, and were followed by the recollections of a GSOE alumnus.
Dean Webb followed these comments by speaking about her journey with the University, detailing the challenges and successes. The official dedication remarks were presented by Dr. Trudy Day, Assistant Dean of the Graduate School of Education. Dr. Rodney Lowman, then Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, made the closing remarks, and all were invited to a tour of the new Resource Center immediately following the dedication.
