If you are considering a career in teaching to help meet the growing need for qualified teachers in California, the Liberal Studies for Education major prepares you to successfully complete the California Subject Matter Examination for Teachers-Multiple Subjects. Following that examination, you may enter a teacher credential program such as the one offered in the Graduate School of Education at Alliant. Then, upon completion of the teacher credential program, you will be qualified as a K-6 grade teacher.
