Unique yet relevant classes have been incorporated into the Criminal Justice Program to address the complexity, interconnect, and co-occurring dynamics in the field: Criminal Justice Response to Family Violence, Developmental Psychopathology, Children Exposed to Violence, and Courtroom Advocacy.

A unique core competency of the program is for students to appraise the connection of the role and interrelationships between systems and the complex dynamics associated with the structure of the criminal justice system, the agencies that interact with the criminal justice field and with community.
