About Alliant & CUE

Alliant is an upper-division, independent, nonprofit university that offers exciting Professional Entry Programs for students who already have finished the first two years of college. Our undergraduate programs are closely tied to our graduate offerings and are designed to prepare students for careers as professional practitioners, not just for entry-level jobs.

Our goal is to make students ready to work in their chosen professions immediately after graduation, so our programs in the liberal arts, education, business, and the behavioral and social sciences use a professional school model. That means we closely combine classroom learning with hands-on, real-world experiences. When you graduate from Alliant, you can begin a professional career in which you will be respected for your expertise, able to work with more independence and experience financial success.

We offer programs at multiple California locations and in Mexico City, all of which are linked to international programs that encourage greater understanding among cultures and individuals.

While each of our schools has a unique mission, and while all of our programs are specially designed to meet the career goals and needs of the students who attend them, all of them do share certain family resemblances:

  • All apply scholarship to solve social problems, maintaining an abiding concern for diversity and internationalism.
  • Our faculty, students and alumni are committed to making an impact on society by emphasizing understanding and interdependence.
  • Alliant scholars strive for the type of results that make a difference in the lives of individuals, families, schools, organizations and nations.

We have campuses in Fresno, Los Angeles, Irvine, San Francisco, San Diego (shown at left) and Mexico City, and offer a satellite location in Sacramento. Undergraduates can choose to study either in San Diego or in Mexico City

Alliant's History

Alliant International University was formed in July 2001 by the combination of the California School of Professional Psychology and United States International University. But through those two pioneering "legacy institutions" - which distinguished themselves in the areas of professional and international education - its history stretches back more than 40 years.
