Strike while the iron is hot:
Support Public Service RxP Training
Your help is needed to continue the efforts of Division 18 and Alliant International University to train 100 Public Service Psychologists in psychopharmacology. This joint initiative was launched in 2004 and the first phase of the campaign was funded by the Lazlo Tauber Family Foundation, the APA Practice Directorate and the contributions of many individual psychologists. That effort sponsored the training of fifteen Division 18 psychologists who will graduate with their Postdoctoral Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology in December 2008.

Beth Rom-Rymer has given us a Challenge Grant from the Irving and Dorothy Rom Family Foundation to match all contributions to the Public Service RxP Fund that are pledged prior to August 17, 2008.
Your contribution goes twice as far. | The success of this project is of major importance for the RxP movement. Recent policy developments in the military and in the Indian Health Service have encouraged us to begin a second phase of our fundraising efforts. Public Service agencies are fertile ground for expansion of prescription authority for psychologists. Many Federal agencies do not require state legislation to grant psychologists prescription authority.
Funding is needed to provide for Division 18 psychologists and Indian Health Service psychologists, to enter training in January 2009.
The Rom Family Foundation will match all contributions to the Public Service RxP Fund at Alliant International University that are pledged prior to August 17, 2008.
