Title: Systemwide Director of Training
Department: California School of Professional Psychology
Reports To: Dean, California School of Professional Psychology
Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Summary:
The Director of Training, under the general direction of the Dean of the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) has responsibility for the management of the Psychological Service Centers (PSCs) and collaborative oversight of the planning and delivery of student field training experiences for all programs’ Offices of Professional Training (OPT Offices) within the California School of Professional Psychology at all Alliant locations.
The successful candidate will be a licensed clinical psychologist and have experience in mental health administration in a community mental health or public clinic setting. The ideal candidate will also have experience providing supervision in clinical settings, teaching and supervising doctoral level students and working with low income, ethnically diverse populations, preferably in a community mental health or public clinic setting. Candidates should be familiar with California state licensure regulations and requirements, APA internship requirements, and have excellent management, budgetary and interpersonal skills.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Director of Training has responsibility for overseeing the local academic support programs, which place students in practicum and internship training assignments in support of the academic programs. The local Directors of Professional Training will report to the local Program Directors, and will also report to the Director of Training for aspects of overall quality of training. In this role, the Director of Training will work to ensure uniformity of quality training across locations.
- Refines existing and establishes new policies and guidelines for professional training, to be universally implemented at each campus
- Collaborates with Program Directors and local Directors of Professional Training in developing annual operating plans and developing policies
- Supervision of Psychological Service Center (PSC) Directors
- Has oversight and works with the Finance Department and PSC Directors to develop Budgets for the PSC
- Monitors the implementation of PSC budgets
- Liaisons with the Finance Department in tracking and administering all PSC grants and contracts
- Provides oversight and monitors the overall quality of services provided to the public and the provision of doctoral level field training experience for practicum and internship students
- Collaborates with and acts as a liaison to internal University offices including finance, legal, marketing and development
- Strategic planning for program development and growth within the University and externally with community based organizations, agencies and schools
- Collaborates with the University Grants and Contracts Office to identify and secure external funding resources
- Networks with state and national institutions, entities and organizations for purposes of external funding, policy making, and quality assurance
Requirements:

PhD, PsyD or EdD in psychology or a closely related field |

Professional Designation: |
