Title: Program Director and Core Faculty Member (Open Rank), Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology

Summary:

The California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University offers APA-accredited doctoral programs (PsyD and PhD) in Clinical Psychology at five campuses in California, COAMFTE-accredited master’s and doctoral programs in Marital and Family Therapy at four campuses in California, a national postdoctoral master’s program in psychopharmacology, and international programs in Hong Kong, Japan and Mexico.

SAN FRANCISCO CAMPUS, CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY PHD PROGRAM, PROGRAM DIRECTOR. Our APA-accredited program with 150 doctoral students adheres to a scholar practitioner model and is committed to the integration of clinical and research training. 

 

The position is full-time, 50% devoted to administration as program director and 50% devoted to teaching, mentoring, and research. The program director reports to the dean of CSPP. Administrative responsibilities include (a) faculty recruitment, supervision, and evaluation; (b) budget planning and management; (c) curriculum development and evaluation; (d) student recruitment, retention, and evaluation; and (e) APA accreditation.  Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to multicultural/international education and training, hold a PhD in clinical psychology from an APA accredited program, and be licensed or license eligible in California. We are looking for someone with expertise in an area that may either complement or supplement our current faculty strengths (e.g., psychopathology, treatment, quantitative analysis, psychogerontology, health psychology, gender and sexuality, ethnic minority psychology, community psychology, or families with young children).



Requirements:

Qualifications include (a) academic leadership and management experience, (b) an ongoing program of research and a record of scholarly productivity, and (c) experience teaching and mentoring doctoral students.
