Title: LECTURER, PSYCHOLOGY and CRIMINAL JUSTICE

Department: Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE)

Reports To: Program Coordinator of Psychology and Criminal Justice Programs

Hours: Full-time, one-year, renewable appointment

Summary:

The Center for Undergraduate Education Psychology & Criminal Justice Programs will be useful to anyone who anticipates centering their profession in “socially-dense” settings characterized by ongoing interpersonal encounters, social disparities & resolutions, and the systems that surround these issues.  Both programs incorporate the  current science on consequences of early exposure to violence and how this impacts later behavior and functioning.  Both progressive programs prepare students to successfully work in social and criminal settings where the skill to collectively process interconnectedness, social & personal action is critical to respond to crisis and work toward prevention. Overall, these programs pride themselves by standing on the robust foundation & history of Psychology and the progressive movement of the Criminal Justice fields whilst incorporating current, relevant and evidence based practices.  The students will leave our programs prepared to enter a profession, either with the bachelor’s completion or with a seamless entry to a graduate programs (based on qualifications).
