Summary: The CALIFORNIA SCHOOL OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOLOGY (CSPP) at Alliant International University offers APA-accredited doctoral programs (PsyD and PhD) in Clinical Psychology at 5 campuses in California and in Tokyo and Hong Kong. We offer COAMFTE-accredited master’s and doctoral programs in Marital and Family Therapy across six locations in California and a postdoctoral master’s degree in psychopharmacology. CSPP’s mission is to provide the highest quality education, training, research and service in professional psychology and related human service fields. Los Angeles Campus, Program Director, Clinical PSYCHOLOGY PSYD PROGRAM: We are seeking an innovative and proven academic and administrative leader for this APA-accredited PsyD program, to begin Fall 2008. This is a full-time position where one-half time is spent in teaching and mentoring of students. The Program Director reports to the Dean of CSPP. Responsibilities include: 1) Ensuring delivery of a quality academic program, including curriculum development and evaluation; 2) Oversight of program faculty and staff recruitment, hiring, development, and retention, 3) Working collaboratively with the Office of Professional Training to ensure high quality student clinical field training; 4) Ensuring program continuity through collaborative work with admissions and enrollment management personnel; 5) Working collaboratively with student services personnel to ensure that registration, student orientation, financial aid, and other student services are responsive to student needs; 6) and handling student complaints according to university and program student evaluation and review procedures; 7) Developing an Annual Operating Plan and Annual Budget Plan and ensuring implementation of and adherence to same; and 8) Ensuring that tasks related to APA accreditation are implemented, including developing and writing self-study reports and responses and submitting annual reports, and 9) working with the Dean, CSPP faculty, and other program directors to develop and implement strategies for innovation in the education of psychologists for professional practice. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in psychology (licensed or license eligible in CA), faculty experience in teaching and mentoring in a graduate psychology program, academic administrative experience, a record of superior achievement in the field, and knowledge of and/or experience with APA accreditation process.
