Title: Associate Professor for Marital and Family Therapy, COAMFTE accredited M.A. and Psy.D. Programs

Summary:

 

 

Program Description:      The Alliant Marital and Family Therapy M.A. and Psy.D. programs have existed since 1973 and have been COAMFTE accredited since 2001.  They are housed in the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant. Each MFT program (MA and Psy.D.) operate as one program across multiple locations (San Diego, Irvine, and Sacramento California, and Mexico City, Mexico).  The MFT programs offer specializations in Latino Family Therapy, Chemical Dependency, and Gerontology.  

 

Responsibilities:               Full-time core faculty member in COAMFTE-accredited M.A. and Psy.D. programs. Teach graduate courses, supervise MFT practicum, establish and maintain an active research program. The position is based in Irvine, and may include occasional travel. Possibly involving MFT Site Director responsibilities within a year. 



Requirements:

 Earned doctorate in MFT (COAMFTE accredited program preferred) or closely related field; AAMFT Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor (or in training); eligibility for licensure as an MFT in California; demonstrated experience with multicultural/multinational education and research; ongoing program of research with grant funding potential; demonstrated experience with multicultural approaches to treatment. Administrative experience preferred. Strong consideration given to qualified applicants who are multilingual and have experience working with diverse populations.
