Title: Professional Training Advisor/Liaison Fresno

Department: Office of Professional Training

Reports To: Director of Professional Training/Fresno

Hours: 9 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (or as assigned)

Summary:

The Professional Training Advisor/Liaison, under the general direction of the Director of Professional Training.  Position serves in a responsible advisory/liaison capacity as the Professional Training Advisor/Liaison (PTA/L)

 

The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing high quality service to all constituencies of Alliant University. S/he will exhibit the highest professional standards ethical principles and will be committed to the tenets of Alliant University’s Mission and Vision.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

              PTA/L agrees to comply with the following requirements:

a)     Report to Director of Professional Training

b)     Develop new sites to meet changing needs of the campus community

c)     Serve as liaison between campus, student and agencies.

d)     Counsel students in the development of their training plans, selection of sites and monitor the training and addresses any field placement problems.

e)     Ensure proper documentation procedures with regards to contracts, students' evaluations, and academic credit.

f)       Review evaluations, assign grade and credit, and discuss progress and training goals with the student.

g)     Visit each site a minimum of once per academic year and meet with the student and supervisor to assess the placement experience and ensure training goals are being met.

h)     To be familiar and comply with AIU-Fresno rules and regulations and with the ethical standards of the American Psychological Association and any other accrediting agency.

i)       Develop and syllabus and conduct a G1 supervision group 1 hour per week and/or as assigned.

j)       Other duties as assigned



Requirements:

Education:

 

The successful candidate must have doctorate degrees (Psy.D. Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in appropriate psychological field.  Licensed preferred. 

Professional Designation:

 

Experience:

 

Must have experience working with students in additional to providing supervision in mental health/or Forensic clinical settings.  Forensic experience preferred.. 

Technology Skills:

 

Must have basic office skills including working with a computer (Windows, database programs, word processing, and desktop publishing)



Status: Quarter-time (.25)

Salary: DOE
