Alliant’s Accreditation Review Goals and Themes

Alliant’s overarching goal for the re-accreditation process as described in our Institutional Proposal is to develop our strategic vision of Alliant as a Professional Practice University in a Multicultural/International Context.

Specific goals are to:

  1. Develop a more clearly articulated definition of Alliant as a Professional Practice University;
  2. Integrate that definition into all relevant components of the academic enterprise;
  3. Establish structures, policies and procedures and align resources to support this model;
  4. Develop the data structures and review processes leading to improved planning and educational effectiveness and engage the Alliant  community more deeply in outcomes assessment; and
  5. Review the results of operating as a Professional Practice University.

The work of the re-accreditation process is divided into four Themes which are aligned with the four WASC Standards:

Theme #1: Defining and Implementing Alliant’s Educational Objectives as a Professional Practice University

Theme #2: Improving Academic Scholarship and Rigor in a Professional Practice University

Theme #3: Strengthening Enrollment, Financial Sustainability and Resource Allocation Methods

Theme #4: Improving Institutional Research and Utilization for Strategic Planning
