UNIQUE IN THE UNITED STATES

The Organization Development PsyD program offered at the Fresno campus of Alliant International University is the only one of its kind in the United States.

Addressing the growing need for increasingly complex organizational and management skills that encompass several disciplines, the program prepares post-master’s degree students for careers as:

We have developed this three-year, 66-unit program with features to fit the needs of adult learners with multiple responsibilities, including:

BROAD-BASED TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS

The Organization Development PsyD program prepares you for professional success with a broad-based curriculum and extensive fieldwork. All students:

  • Acquire knowledge and skills to manage change in complex organizations
  • Examine and assess existing organizational instruments, processes and designs
  • Design interventions at the system, group and individual levels, addressing such areas as:
    • work strategies and structures
    • staffing issues
    • job design
    • performance appraisal and feedback
    • compensation and rewards
    • staff training and leadership development
  • Gain knowledge of organizational theory and interventions
  • Explore global business and management relationships
  • Develop competencies for OD consultation and design and implementation of applied research projects. Receive training in professional practice through field placements supervised by faculty, organizational consultants, corporate executives and agency administrators

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Entrance to the PsyD Organization Development program requires the completion of an accredited master’s degree that includes at least 9 units in:

  • organization development
  • organization behavior
  • social or behavioral science
  • or a closely related field.

If you have a master’s degree in another field, you will also need to demonstrate several years of work experience or complete 9 units in the Organizational Behavior master's program before admittance.

Approval of units/courses/work experience will rest with the Program Director.
