Alliant Makes Difference Day 2012 and Campus-wide Food Drives
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Oct. 18, 2012 – Alliant International University will participate in the national “Make a Difference Day” for the fifth consecutive year.
Food drives will be held in Fresno, Irvine, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco. The food drives will take place at different times in October, November and December -- depending on campus needs -- to address the growing national and international crisis of food insecurity.
Alliant Makes a Difference Day serves as an anchor to affirm Alliant’s commitment to community engagement. Many students, faculty and staff are engaged in their local communities in meaningful ways all year long, and the food drives are just one symbol of this lasting commitment.
Make a Difference Day is sponsored by USA Weekend Magazine and has been going on since 1992. It has grown into the nation’s largest day of service.
