San Diego Business Journal’s Contributing Editor Tom York writes about Alliant International University’s new undergraduate program expansion and scholarship announcement in his “SDBJ Insider” column in this week’s edition (April 23, 2012). “California’s public colleges and universities are in a money crisis with all of the cutbacks out of Sacramento. So, privately run Alliant International University announces an overhaul of its curriculum to meet the growing demand for classes, eliminating such impediments as minimum transfer requirements, adding flexibility in classes taken online or on site and offering a $3,000 scholarship to students who complete (or transfer in) more than 60 credits with a GPA of 3.0 and offering a $7,000 scholarship awarded on a competitive basis”.
