Alliant Faculty Featured in Panel Discussion at the 2012 American Counseling Association Conference & Exposition

Alliant faculty members, Drs. Eduardo Morales and Janie Pinterits, will be featured in the panel discussion "What is Interprofessionalism?" at the American Counseling Association (ACA) Conference and Exposition in San Francisco, March 21-25, 2012.

This free event is open to all, including prospective and current students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends and the greater campus community. The panel discussion will be held on Friday, March 23, from 5:30-6:30 PM in room Franciscan D at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel.

A reception sponsored by the California School of Professional Psychology will follow the discussion in room Franciscan A from 6:30-7:30 PM.

Interprofessionalism is more than just “teamwork” or “cross-disciplinary cooperation,” it is an approach to team-working that emphasizes collaborative problem-solving. It refers to the way counselors and other health professionals communicate and learn from each other in the workplace. For those in the San Francisco area, this panel is not to be missed!
