Former Associate Provost at Alliant Recognized as "Diversity Trailblazer" in New Assignment at University of Maryland
Alliant's former Associate Provost for International-Multicultural Initiatives (I-MERIT), Dr. Kumea Shorter-Gooden, is featured in Diverse: Issues in Higher Education magazine. Shorter-Gooden spent 20 years at Alliant in various roles. Starting as a faculty member, then as administrator of I-MERIT programs, and concluding with her position as associate provost. In her move to The University of Maryland-College Park, Shorter-Gooden returns to the university where she completed her doctoral work to become a psychologist.
