DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1)Accessibility Services: In collaboration with the University Accessibility Services Coordinator, responsible for superior implementation of Accessibility Services policies and procedures at the campus (e.g, Americans with Disabilities Act, section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973). Ensures compliance with university policies and procedures consonant with legal mandates, best practices and case law to ensure compliance with Federal and State accessibility laws and regulations.
2)Academic Support Center: Coordinate student success programs and tutoring including professional writing and statistics support with respect for learning and information processing style differences and physical ability differences among students.
3)Military/Veterans Affairs: In collaboration with the University Director of Veterans and Military Affairs, responsible for advising veteran/military students, ensuring the delivery of effective communications to the military/veterans students, and supports the campus Veteran/Military population by planning events to promote unity, education and appreciation of service.
4)Student Wellness: Coordinates and ensures optimal delivery of University sponsored student health and wellness programs in a culturally responsive manner.
5)Problem Solving/Campus Ombudsperson for student issues. May serve as the student services liaison to SERC (Student Evaluation and Review Committee).
6)Serves on campus and departmental committees as needed.
7)Regularly assesses efficacy of student development center services.
8)Perform other duties as assigned.
