She was a visiting research fellow at the UCSD Center for Comparative Immigration Studies in 2008-2009 and a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies at UCI in 2010-2011.
Dr. Ozyurt has taught various courses at UC Irvine, UC San Diego and Chapman University as an adjunct faculty before joining Alliant International University.
She received her Ph.D. in political science from the University of California, Irvine in 2009.
